Shrewsbury Firefighter Accused Of Inappropriately Touching Babysitter

SHREWSBURY (CBS) -- A Shrewsbury firefighter who is accused of touching his children's babysitter faced a judge Tuesday morning.

Prosecutors say the firefighter, identified as 35-year-old Sean Bohdiewicz, also made sexually charged comments to the teen girl.

The 15-year-old babysitter and her mother reported the incident to police in January, according to court documents.  The babysitter told police the incident was unprovoked and unwanted.

Bohdiewicz, a married father of two, denied the incident through his attorney. Bohdiewicz's attorney said he had no idea of the allegation until a news reporter contacted him about an upcoming court appearance. Days later, Bohdiewicz received a court summons, his attorney said.

Bohdiewicz has been a Shrewsbury firefighter since 2008. He has been placed on paid administrative leave.

"We have no reason to believe that anything that transpired associated directly with his duties as a Shrewsbury firefighter, " the town's manager Dan Morgado told WBZ-TV.

A judge released him Tuesday on his own recognizance.
