Chelsea Teen Takes Stage With Justin Bieber At Boston Concert
BOSTON (CBS) – Tuesday night was a dream come true for one local "Belieber."
Chelsea 13-year-old Jazmine Johnson shared the stage with pop superstar Justin Bieber during his concert at Boston's TD Garden.
Jazmine was one of a handful of area dancers who had the privilege of showing off their best dance moves right next to Bieber. She loves to dance and is a standout at the Phunk Phenomenon Dance Studio in Everett.
Bieber is holding a contest at every city he performs in, selecting four young dancers to join him on stage.
When Jazmine's mom found out about the contest, she sent Bieber a tape right away, and Jazmine was picked.
"I almost dropped dead, literally!" Jazmine told WBZ-TV before the big night.
Jazmine is also hoping her performance sends a message. Her teacher's son has Sanfilippo syndrome, a disease that causes fatal brain damage, and she helps raise awareness through her dance.
