NH School Locks Its Doors With Gunman Report

HUDSON, N.H. (AP) — Police have arrested a man after it was reported he had a gun at an apartment complex, forcing a nearby elementary school to lock its doors.

Hudson police say they responded to the Burns Hill Apartments around 1:30 p.m. Friday after reports of a man with a gun.

They surrounded the building. Nearby staff at Nottingham West Elementary School locked the building doors, but school carried on as usual.

Police arrested 23-year-old Aaron Holden on a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge. He was released on $1,000 bail. There is no listed phone number for Holden.

Hudson Police Capt. Bill Avery told the Nashua Telegraph that Holden had a weapon, but it was not immediately known whether it was loaded. Police say there was no threat to the school students or staff.
