Big Baby Wants To Play
BOSTON (CBS) - On the night the Boston Celtics are supposed to open their 2011-12 season, Glen Davis wants to play ball.
With the NBA lockout still in effect, Davis will have to wait.
How long, no one knows.
Davis took to twitter Wednesday morning to voice his displeasure.
Davis is referring to the revenue split between the owners and players. Under the old CBA, players were receiving 57-percent of revenue. Owners would like to see that come down to an even 50-50 split this time around.
Players are holding firm at 52.5-percent, so Davis wants the two sides to meet in the middle.
Talks between the two sides broke off last week. No other talks have been scheduled.
Games through November have already been cancelled. If the season were to start, Davis would become a free-agent after spending the last four seasons in Boston.
