50 Years After Honeymoon, Couple Celebrates In Same Boston Hotel Room
BOSTON (CBS) -- A Maine couple who began their marriage 50 years ago returned to Boston to celebrate their anniversary over the weekend, in the same hotel room.
Larry and Diane Coughlin spent their honeymoon night at the Sheraton Boston half a century ago. Larry's brother shelled out $19 for the room.
The couple kept the receipt, and called the Sheraton to see if they could get the same deal for this past weekend. The Sheraton agreed.
Larry and Diane admit the décor in the hotel has changed dramatically, but they had a blast reliving the memories of their wedding night.
Her secret to 50 years of marriage? "Be deaf."
