Behind The Scenes: WBZ Weather Team Promo

It's that time of year again! School is back in session and our team of meteorologists is ready to travel across southern New England to share our weather knowledge with the community.  All 5 of us, yes 5…including our executive weather producer Terry Eliasen are in house today – which is rare, especially considering there's no extreme weather today!  Our quiet pattern actually serves a purpose. It gives us time to tape and update segments for our special WBZ Weather DVD that we show during school visits.

Our visit to classrooms presents kids with an opportunity to learn about forecasting, try their hand at weather trivia and get a closer look behind the scenes at WBZ-TV.  We tend to book up quickly, so if you're interested in a visit, contact us as soon as possible! Click here to schedule a visit.

It's worth mentioning that in certain situations (aka – extended storm coverage, promo shoots etc.) we may not be able to make it to our scheduled visit.  As we say in the world of weather, the chance is isolated that this could happen, but we want you to be aware of the possibility and have an alternate plan should this situation arise (sounds like we're talking about a thunderstorm risk!). Otherwise, we'll be there sharing our passion for weather with the students, hopefully inspiring our next generation of broadcast meteorologists.

Have a great school year! :)

Danielle
