HANOVER, Md. (AP) -- Marylanders living in South Korea can now trade their driver's licenses for a Korean license without any further testing.

State officials are signing an agreement with South Korean Ambassador Han Duk-soo on Wednesday. The agreement will allow Marylanders with noncommercial licenses to skip a written or skills test in the Republic of Korea. It will also allow Korean citizens living in Maryland to do the same.

Motor Vehicle Administration spokesman Buel Young says after a yearlong review, officials determined the standards for the Korean licensing process are consistent with the state's practices.

Young says the state has a similar agreement with France.
