North Texas students engineer custom tools to help young boy with special needs

Students at a North Texas school are using real‑world engineering skills to make life easier for a young boy with a rare genetic condition. As part of a hands‑on challenge, students designed custom tools to help the three‑year‑old navigate everyday activities, from bath time to playtime. Their creations include personalized devices like a book reader and toy adapters — each built to support his developmental needs and bring more independence and joy to his daily routine.
