Mabank mourns loss of Fire Chief Charlie Woodard after a truck hit him while directing rodeo traffic
Police say Chief Charlie Woodard was directing traffic when a truck struck him Saturday night after the event. Woodard served many roles; he was a former police officer, a baseball coach to some and a role model to many. The Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
