LGBTQ student club bans clears Texas Legislature
A bill banning school-sponsored LGBTQ clubs is now headed to the governor's desk. SB 12 would not only prohibit clubs based on sexual orientation or gender identity in grades K-12, it would also outlaw classrooms from providing any instruction, guidance or programming that acknowledges homosexuality or transgender identities.
