Fort Worth ending free downtown weekend parking program after 26 years

Fort Worth’s longtime free weekend parking program in downtown garages at Calhoun and Commerce streets will end Dec. 31. The initiative, launched in 1999 to boost local businesses and restaurants, is being discontinued by the city’s downtown tax district.
