Dozens monitored in U.S. after hantavirus outbreak on cruise ship
Forty‑one people in the U.S. are being monitored for possible hantavirus symptoms, including 18 Americans evacuated from the cruise ship at the center of the outbreak. More than 120 passengers have now returned to their home countries as global health officials work to contain the spread. The World Health Organization revised the ship‑related case count from 11 to 10 after one person’s test was deemed inconclusive.
