DFW Airport sees heaviest holiday traffic as travelers head home

DFW Airport is expecting its busiest travel day of the entire holiday period, with nearly 900 departures scheduled as travelers head home. American Airlines says almost 16,000 flights will have departed from DFW between Dec. 18 and Jan. 5. TSA reports it is fully staffed and prepared for heavy passenger traffic, and travelers using PreCheck or touchless ID in select terminals may move through security more quickly.
