The recall follows multiple incidents in which Waymo robotaxis drove past ramp-closure signs and into freeway construction zones.

The National Transportation Safety Board announced it has opened an investigation into Waymo robotaxis following a series of incidents in Austin involving school buses filled with children.
NHTSA said faulty software may cause Waymo vehicles to pass a stopped school bus even when its red lights are flashing or its stop arm is extended.
Federal regulators are investigating multiple Texas incidents in which the robotaxis drove around stopped school buses.
Waymo, owned by Google's parent company Alphabet, offers driverless rides in five cities, with plans to expand.
The autonomous vehicle company, owned by Google's parent company, Alphabet, is currently operating in several other major U.S. cities.
