Husband Pleas For Help Finding Missing Wylie Woman

COLLIN COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) - There's a new plea to help find a missing North Texas mother. Monday will be the 5th night that Almaze Gebremedhin hasn't been home to tuck her children into bed. Her husband, Zelelew Sisay, sat down with CBS 11 News and explained how he is desperate for her safe return.

Monday night family and friends gathered at the Wylie home of G‎ebremedhin. The mother of two disappeared on Thursday.

Sisay pleaded aloud, "Help us! Help us bring her home, please."

In addition to the appeals, there are now flyers posted across town, soliciting information about ‎Gebremedhin.

Sisay had a personal message for any abductors that might be involved. "I would say to anyone, anyone for whatever reason you have her, please, please let her go. Please."

Last Thursday, a neighbor's security camera recorded G‎ebremedhin as left for work at 5 a.m. But she never made it to work, just three miles away, and never made her usual call home to wake her children for school.

Gebremedhin is a black female, standing approximately 5-feet tall and wieghing 134 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing scrubs.

Authorities believe she may be driving a silver 2004 Chevrolet Ventura bearing Texas license plate CVZ8041.

"We can confirm that she got into her vehicle," said Chief John Duscio, Wylie Police Department. "We had some surveillance  video from a neighbor that had security cameras, so we know she got in her van and left for work… that's the last we've heard or seen from her."

Police are monitoring Gebremedhin's cell phone and bank account for activity. They are also asking neighbors to stay on the lookout for her minivan.

"We know that's out there somewhere, we know that somebody has heard or seen something-that vehicle needs to be found," said Chief Duscio.

Anyone with information in encouraged to contact the Wylie Police Department at 972-442-8171.
