Workers Have To Put Out Own Garbage

About 20,000 Texas state workers will have to put out their own trash starting this week. The basic idea is to increase recycling -- and to save money. It's the "Mini-Max" program complete with one-gallon trash boxes called "Mini-Bins." Some state agencies are exempt from the do-it-yourself trash rule, including those at the State Capitol. The Greening Austin Daily says the state expects to save $1 million a year.
