A COUPLE OF WARM NIGHTS AHEAD BEFORE THE RAIN

Overnight temperatures are only going to drop down into the mid-60's due to this steady south wind and mostly cloudy skies. You know you have a warm day ahead when the overnight lows are closer to the typical highs. Clouds will be with us all day tomorrow, even a little thicker than today. Dewpoints will be in the upper 50's, very moist air so close to mid-November. Highs are forecast to hit 80° at DFW, the record high for the date is 85°.

The real weather show starts on Monday. It'll again be a warm, breezy start to the day with lows in the upper 60's. In 48 hours these temperatures will be the afternoon highs. Severe weather is a possiblity to our south below Waco in the day, some of these storms could start moving in the metro area by Monday night. We'll certainly see some decent rains from this system, the eastern half from the I-35E corridor could get close between .50" and 1" of rainfall. Below you can see rain totals estimated by the HPC:

This system clears out during the morning hours on Tuesday. Highs will get into the low 70's as winds turn to the north later in the afternoon. We'll enjoy dry weather all the way until the weekend. It'll be back to the 70's for afternoon highs by Thursday.
