Turning Fall Like for Thursday...

FALL RETURNS FOR JUST ONE DAY…

A cold front arrive tonight and we get a taste of fall for just one day tomorrow.  This front will slide thru DFW during the overnight hours and may produce a few light rain showers, but nothing heavy.  Winds will increase behind the front out of the NE 10 to 20 mph.  This NE wind will keep temps in the 70s all day tomorrow.  There will be partly to mostly cloudy skies with spotty showers possible during the day.  It will be noticeably cooler than today when temperatures climbed into the low 90s.

WARMING BACK UP FOR THE WEEKEND…

This will be a short lived cool spell as temperatures on Friday will climb back into the mid 80s.  And for the weekend highs will climb back into the 90s.  Sunday and Monday of next week look quite warm with highs in the mid 90s.  This will be thanks to an upper level high moving back over the southern Plains.

There will be another weak cold front that arrives by the middle of next week.  This could bring some scattered rain on Wednesday, but doesn't look too promising at this point.

TROPICAL STORM OPHELIA…

Tropical Storm Ophelia formed last evening in the Atlantic.  The track takes it just north of the islands over the next 5 days.  Too early to tell if this will affect the US, but it for sure will not be heading toward Texas.
