The @CBSDFW Storm Team Blog: Rain south of #DFW helps a few lakes. #LakeLevels

Rain coverage has been relatively low across North Texas the past several days.  It has been a different story to the south.  Central Texas saw heavy rain and flash flooding yesterday.

Lake Travis has gone up nearly 2 feet in the past few days.  But it is still only 33% full.

But closer to home here is a map showing areas that saw rainfall over the past 48 hours.

The rain to the south did help a few lakes in southern parts of North Texas.

Lake Mexia +.84" in past 48 hours

Aquilla Lake +1.8" in past 48 hours

Stillhouse Hollow Lake + 1.44" in past 48 hours

Whitney Lake +1.92" in past 48 hours.

Here's the list of all the lakes.  Click on the images to enlarge.
