Expect Temperature Mood Swings Through The Weekend
Nearly everyone has noticed the big drop in temperatures we experienced this morning. Temperatures in the Metroplex at sunrise were near 60°, but only a couple hours later behind a cold front, temperatures were in the mid 40s! Combine that with a stiff north wind, and it's been a very chilly day.
Expect a sub-freezing overnight in the 20s and a cool day Wednesday. Thursday we should warm up before another cold front arrives Thursday afternoon. While we should cool down Thursday night…temperatures will warm right back up for Friday. Then another cold front arrives Friday night!! So if you're keeping score at home, temperatures over the next 4 days are down, up, down, up, down.
Tonight…Clear skies & light wind lead to a hard freeze. Low 27° in the Metroplex. 20-24° in outlying areas. Light North wind.
Wednesday…Mostly sunny & cool. High 53°. South wind 5-15 mph.
Thursday…Sunny to partly cloudy. High near 64° in the Metroplex…but colder north of I-20 behind a cold front that should move thru during the day. Temperatures along the Red River only in the 50s.
Friday…Partly cloudy, windy and warmer. High 72° South wind 15-30 mph.
Saturday…Sunny to partly cloudy & a bit cooler. Still mild for heading to Frisco for Get Healthy Texas Day. High 65°
Sunday…Mostly sunny & warm. High 74°
