Student Arrested For Allegedly Bringing Gun To School In Arlington

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - A Bowie High School student was arrested Wednesday for allegedly bringing a gun to school.
18-year-old Elmi Elmi is charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon and theft of a firearm according to Arlington Police officer Zhivonni McDonnell.
Police say someone told a school resource officer about the gun around 11:15 a.m.
Police say the gun was in the student's backpack but no one was threatened with it.
