Six Flags Misses 3rd Quarter Profit Forecasts

GRAND PRAIRIE (AP) - Six Flags Entertainment Corp. has reported third-quarter earnings of $157.3 million.

The Grand Prairie-based company, on a per-share basis, had net income of $1.64.

The results announced Monday fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.71 per share.

The amusement park operator posted revenue of $575.3 million in the period, which beat Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $561.1 million.

A year ago the company earned $105 million, or $1.08 per share, on revenue of $541.8 million.
