DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) — A local taco chain is looking to brighten up a Monday and celebrate a new location with free tacos and raising money for a children's hospital.
In honor of R Taco opening a new Dallas location, the fast-casual taco restaurant is giving away free tacos and donating 20% of food sales at that location to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children on Monday. Those who stop by the new location at 3604 Oak Lawn Ave. from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. can receive one free taco if they like or follow R Taco on social media.
"Our roots are here in Dallas," CEO and co-founder Steve Dunn said. "We value our local communities and are proud to support Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children as part of Free Taco Monday."
R Taco has 10 locations total spread between Dallas, Denver, Minneapolis and St. Paul. The original location opened in 2010 on Greenville Avenue in Dallas.
