DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas police are investigating a hoverboard drive-by.
An armed man on a hoverboard shot a driver early Thursday morning on West Northwest Highway east of I-35 and rolled away.
Police said the victim was driving by the area when he saw the suspect, described as a black male with shoulder length dreads, riding a hoverboard. When the driver drove by a second time, he decided to ask the hoverboarder if he needed a ride, according to Dallas police spokeswoman Tramese Andrews.
"The person then asked the victim why he was following him and at that time he shot the victim. The suspect then fled the location on foot, while the victim was transported to a local hospital by Dallas Fire Rescue with non-life-threating injuries."
No word on the condition of the victim who is recovering at a local hospital. Andrews said she isn't sure if the man was on the hoverboard when he shot the driver.
