More Rain Possible Tonight!

SUPER SOAKING OVER… BUT STILL MORE RAIN FOR SOME TONIGHT…

Rainfall totals were very impressive across the area.  With many locations seeing 3" to 6" of rain.  More rain will be possible this evening and tonight as the slow moving upper level low moves thru Central Texas.

The rain will mainly be showers with a few embedded thunderstorms.  It will NOT be anything like we saw last night, but some areas could see another .5" to .75" of rain.  Areas north and northwest of Fort Worth will have the best chance of seeing the most rain.

These scattered showers will continue thru the mid-morning hours on our Thursday.  By later in the afternoon skies will clear from west to east.  It will be breezy and chilly though with temperatures in the 40s and 50s.

TONIGHT…

Cloudy, breezy with scattered showers and a few isolated thunderstorms.  Low of 44.


TOMORROW…

Lingering rain in the morning then clearing skies from west to east in the afternoon and evening.  Chilly and breezy.  High of 55.  NW winds 15 to 25 mph.

FRIDAY..

Sunny and warmer.  Patchy fog Friday morning then some sun.  Morning low of 37.  Afternoon high of 65.

SATURDAY…

Cold front arrives Friday night into Saturday morning.  Breezy and cooler.  Morning low of 40.  Afternoon high of only 50.  High clouds with us.

SUNDAY…

Mostly sunny and a little warmer.  Low of 30.  High of 60.

MONDAY…

Windy with partly to mostly cloudy skies.  Low of 43.  High of 62.


TUESDAY…

Mostly sunny and warm.  Low of 53.  High of 70.

  • 4.26" of rain in the past 24 hours is the all-time 24 hour rainfall record for the month of January beating 3.15" in 1998
  • 6.04" of rain for the month makes this January the 2nd wettest January on record & the wettest January since 2007
  • 10.38" of rain since December 1st makes this the 10th wettest Winter (Dec-Feb) on record
