More Rain On The Way

For the second morning in a row we had a line of strong storms move over north Texas. This morning the line arrived after sunrise; below I've shown 8:30 am. Notice how the metro area was sparred the brunt of the line. Hail and strong winds produced T'Storm Warnings through the morning as the line moved southeast.

NICE & WARM MONDAY

Overnight lows will stay in the 50's tonight. Tomorrow we'll have enough sunshine to get the highs to around 80 degrees. It'll be a very nice start to April (no fooling).

RAIN TUESDAY/WEDNESDAY

We are watching a massive low pressure system off the coast of California.

The upper level low will start effecting our weather on Tuesday and will deliver a generous rain event for just about the entire state of Texas over a 2-day period:

This is the GFS Forecast model's prediction of total rainfall. Notice the generous amount forecast for the metro area and east:

This system should clear north Texas by the early morning hours of Thursday. Both Tuesday and Wednesday will be cloudy and wet days. Highs on Wednesday will only be in the low 50's.

By Thursday afternoon the recovery starts. We should be back to 80 degree weather by next Saturday:
