50 Of My Favorite Summer Songs Of All Time

Years ago when CBS11 was just known as Channel 11 "The Super Ones", our former Creative Services Director Barry Smith created a summer thematic campaign simply titled, "Summer Means Fun," based on a song performed by a 1960's pop duo named Bruce & Terry (Bruce Johnston & Terry Melcher), also with the group The Ripcords. Melcher was also the son of actress Doris Day and the record label producer for Paul Revere & The Raiders. And with that said, this week's blog list 50 of the greatest pop summer songs of all time (please note that this list is strictly personal, in no order, does not list all songs by any means, and does not reflect the views and opinions of CBS Local Media nor anyone else… except yours truly!):
