DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - David Fincher, who directed "The Social Network" last year, helms this film adaptation of the popular Stieg Larsson novel.

Rooney Mara stars as Lisbeth Salander, the computer hacker who helps a Swedish journalist find a serial killer. Rooney was also in "The Social Network" and she beat out some big names for this role, including Scarlett Johanssen and Anne Hathaway.

By the way, the piercings she sports in the film are NOT cosmetic. That's all Rooney.
