East Texas Woman Arrested In Fatal Shooting Of Husband

TYLER, Texas (AP) — Authorities say a 71-year-old East Texas woman was arrested in the shooting death of her husband.

Tyler police say officers responding to a family disturbance at a home on Saturday afternoon found 74-year-old Richard Ivy dead with a gunshot wound.

Police say his wife, Car Ivy, was taken to the police department for questioning. She was later arrested and booked into Smith County jail on a murder charge.

She remained in jail on $250,000 bond on Sunday. Jail records did not list an attorney for her.
