GARLAND (CBSDFW.COM) -- A man suspected of killing a motorcyclist while traveling the wrong way down a Garland street has been arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter.

The crash occurred just after 11:30 p.m. Monday night in the 1700 block of South Garland Avenue.

The motorcycle was traveling south in the southbound lanes on Garland Avenue when it was hit head on by a Chevrolet Camaro.

The rider of the motorcycle, 22-year-old Garland resident Dale Anderson, was transported to Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas where he later died.

Police say the driver of the Camaro, identified as 23-year-old Matthew Tynes of Grand Prairie, was found to be intoxicated. He was taken into custody and is being held on $50,000 bond.
