Dreary Weather Almost Over...
RAIN JUST ABOUT OVER…
As of 3pm there is still lingering rain and clouds across much of North Texas. But skies will clear later this evening and tonight. This will make for a cool night and allow for patchy fog to form. Temperatures tonight will be in the mid to low 30s.
BETTER TOMORROW…
After morning fog and clouds burn off, we will see some sunshine and warmer temperatures with highs in the low 60s. If the fog persists a little longer we may not make it that warm. But I am going to go on the optimistic side.
STRONG COLD FRONT WEDNESDAY NIGHT…
A cold front will arrive as the sun goes down tomorrow. This front will shift winds to the north and it will become very windy tomorrow evening and tomorrow night. Winds could gusts as high as 40 mph out of the north behind the front Wednesday Night. No rain will accompany the front but it will be sharply colder Thursday morning and during the day on Thursday.
COLD AND WINDY THURSDAY…
Despite lots of sunshine temperatures will struggle to make it out of the low 40s Thursday afternoon. Winds will be gusting to 25 mph all day making it feel like it is in the 20s and 30s all day.
FRIDAY MORNING DEEP FREEZE…
Friday morning will start with temperatures in the 20s for everyone. Some locations may drop into the teens. Friday afternoon will be mostly sunny and warmer with highs near 50 degrees.
WEEKEND LOOKING GOOD…
Yesterday's GFS model was forecasting the potential for a winter storm this weekend… Well, the good news is that model has totally backed off that possibility and has come more in line with the other models showing a mild and dry weekend for North Texas. We will see temperatures in the upper 50s and low 60s this weekend with a mix of sun and clouds. Winds will increase a bit on Sunday and then we will have the chance of a few showers and thunderstorms on Monday of next week.
