Man found fatally shot in Dallas overnight, police say

Dallas Police are investigating after a man died of a shooting early Saturday morning.

The department said it happened around 2:10 a.m. along the 2100 block of Royal Lane, in the northwest part of the city. Officers said they found the man unresponsive and suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. While Dallas Fire-Rescue took him to the hospital, police said he later died.

The investigation remains ongoing.
