ARLINGTON (CBSDFW) -- Former Dallas Cowboys safety Darren Woodson, who won three Super Bowls with the team during the 90s, will become the 19th player in the Cowboys Ring Of Honor.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones made the announcement at training camp in Oxnard on Tuesday.

"We've had this spot in the Ring Of Honor with Darren Woodson's name on it for a long time," said Jones.

"Darren is a difference maker. He was a difference make off the field, and he was a difference make on the field. We were a different defense because he was out there."

Woodson will be inducted on Nov. 1, when the Cowboys host the NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks.

The 5-time Pro Bowl selection played his entire 12-year career in Dallas, where he became the team's all-time leader in tackles (1,350).

"It's an absolute honor because this has always been my family," said Woodson.

Woodson is the 8th defensive player to be added. Tom Landry and Tex Schramm are the only non-players in the elite group.
