Like a Hollywood premiere the red carpet was rolled out, the energy was high and the stars were strutting their stuff for the Fifth Annual Dallas Summer Musical High School Musical Theater Awards.
High School's from all over North Texas are represented with awards from lighting and set design to best actor and actress.
"We have sixty seven schools doing seventy productions. We have three judges minimum that see every single production" said Dallas Summer Musicals President & Managing Director Michael A. Jenkins.
The night was electric with all the glitz and glamour of a Hollywood Award Show. The Red Carpet was even lined with screaming fans.
"We're here at the biggest theater in Big D, it's thirty four hundred seats and I think we're going to fill every single one of them" said Dallas Summer Musical High School Musical Theater Awards Chairman John R. Clutts.
JD Ryan is on the red carpet at the Music Hall at Fair Park and Around Town.
