DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) — Dallas police announced that human remains were found in an area related to the search for missing Dallas mother Marisol Espinosa, but they have not been able to determine an identification.
Major Max Geron announced the findings at a press conference Sunday night. Geron said Dallas officers responded to the area under a bridge in the 2900 block of Dowdy Ferry Road around 11:50 a.m. Sunday morning in case the remains turned out to be Espinosa's. The area is in unincorporated Dallas County.
The medical examiner now has the remains and is working on determining a positive identification and cause of death.
Geron said the case will be documented as an unexplained death until the medical examiner's results come in.
