Dallas Police Make Arrest After 88-Year-Old Is Sexually Assaulted During Home Invasion

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - An 88-year-old woman managed to contact Dallas police on October 8 to report that she had been sexually assaulted.

It was in the early morning hours when officers got to the home in the Lake Highlands area. The victim told them a man broke into her home, punched her in the face, and then sexually assaulted her. After the rape, the suspect, later identified as Kristopher Brown, allegedly stole money, a Remington shotgun and the woman's 2007 Lexus.

Police say before leaving in her Lexus Brown tied the woman to a chair, disabled her phones, and said "she would find her vehicle at an address on East Overton Road in five days."

It was about 12 hours after the report that officers located the victim's car at a 7-Eleven on Skillman Street. Police say the "suspect was pumping gas in the vehicle and conversing with several other individuals."

After getting the gas and driving away Brown was pulled over and taken into custody. Investigators say the 19-year-old suspect was wearing shoes that matched footprints found in the victim's backyard.

Brown has been charged with aggravated robbery, carjacking and possession of a stolen firearm. He is being held in the Dallas County Jail on $100,000 bond.

No word on the exact injuries or condition of the 88-year-old victim.
