Dallas Fire Rescue Finds Burned Bodies In A Car In South Dallas
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – While dousing a grass fire just before 5 p.m. Sunday, fire fighters found two charred bodies inside a car near Glen Oaks Blvd. and Town Creek Dr. in south Dallas, said police department spokesman Kevin Janse.
Damage from the fire prevented investigators from quickly identifying the race, gender or age of the victims, Janse said.
Investigators asked that the media not publicize where the bodies were found in the vehicle, as it would "severely jeopardize the initial investigation into this case."
Police said homicide investigators were still considering this an active crime scene and would not comment further.
