Coldest Night Tonight in Over Five Months
In the wake of last night's cold front, it has been a windy & much cooler day today. Northwest winds continue until sunset to gust close to 30 mph and a WIND ADVISORY is in effect until 7pm.
After the sun goes down, temperatures will take a tumble into the 40s by tomorrow morning. It will still be breezy overnight, with northwest winds 10-15 mph. Bundle up in the morning! We haven't seen temperatures this low since May 3rd when the low temperature was 42°
FROST POSSIBLE THURSDAY MORNING!
More sunshine and breezy northwest winds continue tomorrow. Wind will really drop off tomorrow night allowing temperatures to fall into the lower 40s and even mid to upper 30s over the northern parts of North Texas. With lighter winds, frost is possible over areas that drop into the 30s. A FROST ADVISORY will most likely be issued for parts of North Texas for Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
WEEKEND RAIN CHANCES
Sunshine will be with us through the end of the week. But watch for clouds to quickly increase Friday evening ahead of an upper level disturbance. This disturbance will work across North Texas during Saturday into Sunday. Our computer models are continuing to show a decent coverage of rain during the day and night Saturday into Sunday, which could put a damper on some weekend outdoor activities. The rain looks to taper off during the day on Sunday. The World Series returns to Arlington on Saturday evening, and we'll have to watch out for scattered showers & storms. Here's the rest of the 7day forecast.
WORLD SERIES - GAME ONE IN SAINT LOUIS WEDNESDAY EVENING
The same system that has brought us the cool, dry weather is giving St. Louis cold, windy and rainy weather over the next couple of days. There is a threat for rain during Game One on Wednesday...with the best chances east of Missouri. In any case, it will be quite chilly and breezy for the Rangers and Cards.
