Chance of storms increases across Maryland Wednesday

Warmer weather comes with an increasing chance of storms. Wednesday is a First Alert Weather Day, with a stormy evening in the forecast. 

Wednesday begins with temperatures in the 60s and a few showers around. Spotty rain won't have much of an impact on the morning commute. 

Stormy weather on Wednesday evening across Baltimore

A front will move into Maryland on Wednesday. A few showers will move through during the morning and early afternoon hours... followed by a greater chance of rain and storms later in the day. 

Temperatures soar well into the 80s by 3 p.m. on Wednesday. Scattered storms will develop during the mid to late afternoon hours. There is a Marginal, level one out of five, risk of severe storms. Many people will get stormed on, But, only a couple areas will be impacted by severe weather. Not every storm that develops will be severe. But, a couple could produce gusty winds and hail. Heavy rain will also fall with storms.

Have a way to be alerted to severe weather, just in case. Temperatures drop back into the 50s as rain comes to an end on Wednesday night. 

Briefly cooler weather arrives on Thursday

Behind Wednesday's front, much cooler air will try to sneak into Maryland. There may be a large range in temperatures across the state on Thursday; coolest in northeast Maryland. With a front lingering in our area, additional showers and warmer weather are possible through the rest of the workweek. 

Rain chances spike again as another front approaches on Sunday - a possible First Alert Weather Day.
