City Of Bedford Names New Police Chief

BEDFORD (CBSDFW) - The city of Bedford has appointed Jeff Gibson as the new Police Chief according to city manager Roger Gibson.

"Jeff is a very effective communicator, detail-oriented, understands the community and has the innate leadership skills that transcend rank," City Manager, Roger Gibson said. "He has wide-spread support within the department and from our community.  I am confident Jeff is the right choice to effectively lead the men and women of the Bedford Police Department."

Gibson is a 20-year veteran with the Bedford Police Department and has served as a narcotics officer and a SWAT team leader.
