After the Storms

Severe weather moved from our northern counties across the metro last night. 1" - 1.5" hail was reported in Wise, Denton and Tarrant County. Radar shows the hail tracks. Windows were broke out in the Eagle Mt. area as the cell was bearing down on the metro area. The core weakened by the time in came over North Richland Hills but 1" hail was reported in Keller just 20 minutes before:

Rain was falling at a rate of 4"-5" an hour, we'll have more rainfall amounts by evening but up to 3" of rain fell in northern Tarrant Co.:

Rain is in the forecast today for the eastern edge but by afternoon it'll be great weather with highs in the 70's and mostly sunny late:

It'll be in the 80's on MOnday and Tuesday as winds pick up from the south. On Wednesday a major cold front enters the picture. It'll be pushed along by a major upper level low riding the northern jet stream. The core of the storm will be too far south to present a major severe weather threat. It appears right now that the big rain and storms will arrive Wednesday night and leave by Thursday evening:
