FOREST HILLS (CBSDFW.COM) - A 5-year-old boy riding a small motorized minibike was struck by a car around 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
The child ran a stop sign in the 6300 block of Crawford according to Forest Hills Police Captain Jerry Cosby.
The child was rushed to Cook Children's Medical Center by MedStar. Police say he is in critical condition.
Capt. Cosby says the driver of the car that struck the child swerved and braked to try to avoid him but was unable to.
Police say the driver stopped to check on the boy and the driver will not face any charges.
