Pelosi backs smaller stimulus proposal

After months of holding out for another $2 trillion dollar coronavirus stimulus package, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is backing a smaller plan in an effort to move things along before key programs expire this month. CBS News political correspondent Ed O'Keefe and Politico White House correspondent and associate editor Anita Kumar join CBSN's "Red & Blue" host Elaine Quijano to discuss the likelihood more aid could be coming before the end of the year.

Biden unveils senior members of economic team

President-elect Joe Biden has unveiled senior members of his economic team. His nominee for treasury secretary, Janet Yellen, would be the first woman in that role, and his choice for budget director, Neera Tanden, would be the first woman of color to run the Office of Management and Budget. Trump makes 4th public appearance since election

President Trump made his fourth public appearance since Election Day on Friday, when he held a news conference to discuss his administration's efforts to reduce the price of prescription drugs. The president did not take questions about his unproven claims of widespread voter fraud or his campaign's ongoing efforts to overturn the results of the election. CBS News White House correspondent Paula Reid and CBS News political correspondent Ed O'Keefe join Lana Zak to discuss.

Rep. Schiff on Trump firing Chris Krebs

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff is criticizing President Trump's decision to fire the director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, Christopher Krebs, saying the president did so because Krebs would not back baseless claims of voter fraud. Rep. Schiff joins CBSN's "Red & Blue" host Elaine Quijano to discuss Krebs' firing, as well as the future of the Democratic Party, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and if he's being considered for a potential role in the Biden administration.

Some GOP senators support intelligence briefings for Biden

A growing number of Republicans in the Senate say President-elect Joe Biden should begin receiving high-level intelligence briefings as he prepares to take over the presidency, which he is not yet getting due to the lack of formal acknowledgement from the General Services Administration that he is the likely winner of the presidential election.
