Nego Gato

1420 5th Avenue; Downtown

There are martial arts, but then there is Capoeira. Capoeira is a type of fighting that was first developed by African slaves in Brazil. The moves were designed to look like an intricate dance, but instead, they were self-defense techniques. This particular sport requires a lot of stamina and concentration. If you're interested in learning how to perform Capoeira, then a visit to Nego Gato is in order.

Still Mountain T'ai Chi and Kung Chi Studio

Mt. Lebanon

If you're looking for something a little slower paced, then you might want to try T'ai Chi. Popular with people of all ages and skill levels, T'ai Chi requires great concentration and focuses on slow, controlled body movements. One place in our area that offers T'ai Chi classes is the Still Mountain T'ai Chi and Kung Chi Studio.
