Teacher's Aide Admits To Sexual Relationship With 17-Year-Old Student

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A local teacher's aide is accused of having sex with a student.

It was at Valley High School that 39-year-old Christina Domme met the 17-year-old student in an alternative program class, according to police.

"For some of our most disciplinary needy students," said New Kensington-Arnold Superintendent John Pallone.

The criminal complaint says sometime this fall, Domme and the student started meeting at a Fuel Land on Seventh Street in New Kensington after school. He claims she would buy him cigarettes and blunts before they went to her apartment.

"The two of them were having sex at her house," said New Kensington Police Chief Tom Klawinski.

The chief says they were alerted to the situation on Nov. 21, when a child line complaint was received at the New Kensington Police Department about the relationship.

The school district responded immediately.

"There was allegations raised that were very concerning, there was no determination in terms of validity or not and we took appropriate action," said Pallone. "We suspended the alleged actor."

Four days later, Domme called the district and resigned.

Meanwhile police talked to a teacher who saw the 17-year-old get into Domme's van near the gas station and the boy's mother.

The boy gave police details of the relationship and after denying it, Domme acknowledged the act as well – and it wasn't a single occurrence.

"The affidavit told us three or four," said Klawinski. "That's what he told us and that's what she admitted to also."

Domme was arrested Thursday and released on bail Friday.

Police say in a tearful confession, Domme says the boy initiated the relationship, and the sex.

She was home when KDKA's John Shumway tried talk to her, but did not answer the door. In fact, she called police claiming she was being harassed by the media.
