Sunday Spotlight: Breast Cancer Survivors Who Paddle With A Purpose
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Hearts of Steel is a support group for Breast Cancer Survivors, but they also participate in Dragon Boat Paddling.
Co-founder Janice Bagnato says the organization began in 2019 with 21 survivors. She's one of them.
Bagnato says they've competed across the world from Buffalo, New York to Florence, Italy. Now, they're training for New Zealand in April.
No matter which team crosses the finish line first, the survivors say the hours of support and time spent together is always a win for them.
