PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — The Steelers are reportedly parting ways with two veterans from last season's team.

According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the team is set to release cornerback Patrick Peterson on Friday. The team also released wide receiver Allen Robinson, ESPN's Field Yates reported

Last season, Peterson signed a two-year deal with the Steelers worth $9.775 million. Now, the Steelers will save $6.85 million against the NFL salary cap by releasing him.

This past season, Peterson recorded two interceptions in 16 starts along with 11 passes defended. He also recorded 42 combined tackles with 34 solo tackles.

The eight-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro will now look for his fourth team after being drafted fifth overall in 2011 by the Arizona Cardinals.

Before coming to the Steelers, he spent 10 years with Arizona and then two years with the Minnesota Vikings.

Robinson appeared in 17 games for the Steelers last season, catching 34 passes for 280 yards and no touchdowns. Pittsburgh acquired the wide receiver in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams.

Before his time on the West Coast, Robinson played four seasons with the Chicago Bears.

He was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second round of the 2014 draft out of Penn State.
