Severe Thunderstorm Warning, Flash Flood Warning Issued For Parts Of Allegheny And Westmoreland Counties

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for parts of Allegheny County through 7:30 p.m. Saturday evening.

The areas in the Flash Flood Warning are Monroeville, Baldwin, and West Mifflin.

Up to one inch of rain has fallen already and flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly, according to the National Weather Service.

Along with the Flash Flood Warning, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Pittsburgh, Bethel Park, and Monroeville and will be in place until 6:45 p.m.

A Flash Flood Warning was issued for Bethel Park, Whitehall, and Upper St. Clair and will be in place until 9:15 p.m.

Meanwhile, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning is also in place until 6:00 p.m. for other parts of Allegheny County.

Pittsburgh, Allison Park, and Franklin Park are all under the Severe Thunderstorm Warning.

Winds could reach up to 60 mph and penny-sized hail is possible.

Also, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect until 6:30 p.m. for portions of Westmoreland County.

Greensburg, Jeannette, and Latrobe are all part of the Severe Thunderstorm Warning.

Similar to the warning for Allegheny County, winds could reach up to 60 mph and quarter-sized hail is possible.

To the west, A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for Wheeling, West Virginia; Martins Ferry, Ohio; and Bellaire, Ohio until 7:00 p.m.
