Police: Homewood Shooter Got Wrong Man

Authorities in Homewood say a man shot to death in his home over the weekend was apparently not the intended victim of the gunman.
Pittsburgh police say the shooter reached inside an open door of the Homewood residence and fired several shots that killed 19-year-old Michael Garnett Jr.
But police say another man who witnessed the killing was apparently the target, since he had been in a fight about two weeks earlier with the suspect and the two argued again Saturday before the early morning shooting.
Thirty-four-year-old Virgil Williams was arrested Sunday and charged with homicide, attempted homicide and two counts of reckless endangerment. He was taken to Allegheny County Jail pending a May 14 hearing. A listed number for Williams could not be found Monday and it was unclear whether he had an attorney.
