Police Continue Investigation Into W&J Student's Death
WASHINGTON, Pa. (KDKA) -- Police have released new details about the beating death of a Washington & Jefferson College student.
Tim McNerney, 21, was killed on the morning of Oct. 4.
Police say they have narrowed the time of his death to around 2:20 a.m. to 2:30 a.m.
According to police, McNerney had no defensive wounds, leading them to believe he was pushed to the ground and then a blow to his head killed him.
They also released information about surveillance video that shows McNerney and another student walking on East Maiden and South College Streets around the same time.
The video does not show the attack.
"During that time, we know there was foot traffic around the time of the incident," said Lt. Dan Stanek, of Washington Police.
Police still don't have any suspects, but they're hoping someone who witnessed the attack will come forward.
